Courtney Traub

Courtney Traub, Co-Founder

WordTailors Co-Founder Courtney Traub is a journalist, travel writer and editor who lived and worked in Paris for over a decade. She now divides her time between London and the French capital. She is the editor and primary content writer for the popular website About.com Paris Travel (goparis.about.com), which was part of the New York Times Company and was acquired by media group IAC (Newsweek, Daily Beast, etc.) in 2013. Under her stewardship, the site has become one of the most visited destinations on the web for English-language information and features on Paris.

Specialised in web content writing, search engine optimization (SEO), and multimedia content, Ms. Traub holds particular expertise in the travel, tourism, arts and culture sectors. In addition to her work on the Paris Travel site for About.com, she was a content writer and editor for the Michelin 2012 Green Guide to Paris/Ile de France and Northern France. More recently, she launched Paris Unlocked, a new website offering features and tips on the French capital. She also has a strong background in business reporting and content writing. Between 2007 and 2009, she was a reporter and interim editor for several trade publications owned by Reed Business Information, covering the global personal care sector.

Ms. Traub holds a Doctorate in English from the University of Oxford, and a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. In addition to her expertise in travel, arts and culture, and business beats, she has extensive experience with academic writing and editing in both French and English. She has also collaborated with NGOs such as CARE France and with researchers at France’s CNRS, undertaking documents including annual reports, project grant proposals, and mission statements.

Jonathan Storey

Jonathan Storey

Jonathan Storey is a journalist, writer and voiceover artist who has lived in Paris since 1986. He began his career as a radio reporter at the BBC in England before joining Radio France Internationale in France in 1990, where he worked as a reporter, presenter and producer on in-house programmes and international radio projects. He joined Agence France-Presse in 2000 and has since worked in reporting, editing, multimedia, sport, video and graphics.

He has over twenty years experience as a voiceover artist and has worked for many of France’s top companies, including Peugeot, Rhône-Poulenc, Alsthom and Spie Batignolles. He specializes in audiovisual script writing, reporting, interviewing and script translation, as well as voice recording and dubbing of company videos and film documentaries.

He has a post-graduate diploma in radio journalism from the University of the Arts London.

Colette Davidson

Colette Davidson

Colette Davidson is a journalist, writer and translator, and has lived in Paris since 2009. With over ten years of experience in the journalism field, she is a regular contributor to the Christian Science Monitor, The Lancet Psychiatry and About.com. She specializes in print production for the travel and social sciences sectors, as well as in creative and blog-format writing. Since 2010, she has worked as a reporter and producer at Radio France Internationale, and in television scriptwriting and voiceover production for France Television’s AITV. Ms. Davidson also works as a translator and proofreader, where her work spans the business, marketing and academic fields. Some of her clients have included Danone, the Sorbonne University and the International Energy Agency.

She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle in French Literature and Media Studies.
